with Dr. Marc Graham
meets 7:00 the last Tuesday of each month.
Dr. Marc Graham was born in San Bernardino, California. He
did the majority of his undergraduate study at Azusa Pacific University in Los
Angeles. He completed his Bachelor of Arts degree at Luther Rice University,
Atlanta, Georgia. He also holds the Master of Arts in Biblical Studies degree
from Luther Rice Seminary, the Master of Religious Education degree from Grand
Rapids Baptist Seminary, and the Doctor of Ministry degree from Bethany
Theological Seminary. He has done further graduate study in counseling at
Liberty University.
Dr. Graham entered full-time ministry in 1975,
serving as Assistant to the President of World Gospel Crusades, a Mission board
in Southern California. During the next three years, his travels representing
the mission took him throughout the U.S. and Canada, to all parts of Mexico,
every country in Central America and several South American countries.
Dr. Graham entered pastoral ministry in 1978,
serving a small Baptist church in Los Angeles. Over the next 28 years, he would
serve churches in Northwest Ohio and Michigan.
Dr. Graham has been certified in Biblical
Counseling through the National Association of Nouthetic Counselors (NANC) since
1988. He has been involved over the past ten years in training hundreds of
pastors, missionaries, seminary students, medical personnel and Christian
workers in Biblical Counseling. He is a frequent speaker at NANC regional and
national conferences and at Word of Life leadership training conferences.
From 1998-2004, Dr. Graham served as Minister
of Pastoral Care at Calvary Bible Church, a large church of 600 in Ypsilanti,
Michigan. During that time he laid the ground work for establishing a Biblical
Counseling Center in the Metro Detroit area to assist the churches in that
region and throughout Michigan. This Center was launched in September, 2004, and
Dr. Graham serves as the Director. He also assisted the staff of the Grand
Rapids office of the Biblical Counseling Center from 2004-2006.
In recent years, Dr. Graham has been asked to
travel to Russia and India, and has taught theology in seminaries in those
countries.
In addition to his work at the Counseling
Center, Dr. Graham assists and advises churches in southeast Michigan who are
without pastors. He currently serves as Interim Pastor at the Calvary Baptist
Church of Ypsilanti, Michigan, where he and his wife and son are members.
Dr. Graham and his wife Marcia have been
married 31 years. They have three children, Valerie (30), Sara (26), and Aaron
(17). The Grahams have lived in Ypsilanti, Michigan for the past ten years. He
is 55 years of age. |
